Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and oversee the daily operations of the catering department, including event logistics, staffing, and service delivery.
- Develop and implement operational strategies that enhance efficiency and ensure seamless event execution.
- Supervise the setup and breakdown of catering events, ensuring all aspects meet client expectations and company standards.
- Recruit, train, and manage catering staff, fostering a positive and professional work environment.
- Implement training programs to ensure team members are knowledgeable about food safety, customer service, and presentation techniques.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to encourage professional growth and maintain high morale.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their vision and expectations for events.
- Collaborate closely with clients to design custom menus tailored to event themes, budget constraints, and dietary requirements.
- Serve as the main point of contact during events, addressing any client concerns or requests to ensure complete satisfaction.
- Oversee the entire culinary process, from menu planning and ingredient selection to food preparation and presentation.
- Work with chefs and kitchen staff to maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and visual appeal.
- Regularly review and update menu offerings to stay innovative and competitive in the market.
- Develop and manage catering budgets, ensuring cost control measures are in place to achieve financial targets.
- Analyze financial reports and client feedback to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies for increased profitability.
- Lead marketing initiatives, including online promotions and partnerships, to enhance the company’s reputation and attract new business.
- Ensure that all catering operations comply with local health regulations, safety protocols, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of food inspections, staff certifications, and training sessions.
- Stay updated with industry standards and regulatory changes to adapt practices as necessary.
- Quickly identify and resolve any issues that may arise during events, such as staff shortages, logistical challenges, or client concerns.
- Develop contingency plans for unexpected circumstances to maintain service continuity and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in catering management or a related field, with a strong understanding of event coordination and culinary standards.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
