What We’re Looking For

We’re searching for responsible, supportive, and proactive House Supervisors who are passionate about student welfare and confident working with young people in a residential environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys pastoral care, thrives in a busy team, and is committed to creating a safe, respectful, and welcoming atmosphere.

  • GCSEs (A*-C) or equivalent
  • Experience working with children
  • English proficiency level of C1+
  • Background in medicine, psychology and/or well-being (desirable)
  • A positive, flexible, “can-do” attitude
  • Good communication skills
  • A commitment to creating safe, inclusive spaces for all students
  • Ability to work as part of a team and under pressure

What the Job Is About

As a House Supervisor, you play a key role in ensuring the well-being, safety, and comfort of our residential students. You are responsible for supervising students outside of lessons and activities, supporting their daily routines, and helping them settle into life on campus. Your role includes overseeing wake-up and bedtime procedures, maintaining a calm and organised boarding house, and acting as a first point of contact for any pastoral or welfare concerns. You will be part of a friendly team, receive paid induction training, and benefit from ongoing CPD throughout your contract.

Salary

£683.72 per week (£610.08 + 12.07% holiday pay)

Plus paid induction programme

Locations

Oxford – St Edward’s School (ages 8–17) - 1st July – 12th August 2026

Frensham – Frensham Heights School (ages 12–17) - 8th July – 5th August 2026

Contract details

  • Contracts available from 1-6 weeks, depending on operational needs
  • Up to 48 hours per week across six days with one full day off per week
  • Evening and weekend work expected as part of the residential schedule
  • Free accommodation in single rooms with staff-only shared bathrooms
  • Three meals a day + free tea and coffee
