Prep Technician

Role overview

We are seeking an experienced Prep Technician to carry out vehicle preparations on new and used vehicles.

Key responsibilities

Your key responsibilities as a Prep Technician will be to:

• Conduct vehicle preparation, servicing, maintenance, and repair
• Utilising your technical knowledge to inspect the engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately
• Repairing and replacing broken or defective parts
• Liaising with customers where necessary
• Road testing vehicles to check for faults and repairs
• Following checklists to ensure all procedures are completed
• Completing all documentation to the required standard

About You

As a Prep Technician, you will ideally have the following skills and attributes:

• The capability of working to deadlines whilst maintaining the highest quality standards
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping
• An NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in light vehicle repair & maintenance
• A full UK driving license
• Excellent communication skills
