### About the Role NMC and HCPC professionals are eligible to apply. ### What is on offer as a PIP Disability Assessor? - Excellent starting salary at £39,500pa - Monday to Friday working hours - Full time and part time available (3, 4 or 5 days per week available) - Torquay based when working on-site - 25 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays + 3 Wellness days + Pension + Package - Hybrid/home working available - NMC or HCPC fees paid for and CPD revalidation support provided ### What does the PIP Disability Assessor role involve? The Disability Assessor role will involve you carrying out 3 client assessments per day assessing clients seeking PIP (Personal Independence Payment). A typical day will see you carry out telephone, video or face-to-face assessments to understand how a person’s disability or health condition affects their daily life. You’ll listen to their experiences, ask questions and use your insights to produce a factual report to help the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) determine their eligibility for benefits. That’s the good news; the DWP make the final decision, you don’t. Your role is to gather information and produce the report. This is an exceptional opportunity to work with a well-established, people focussed organisation. You’ll receive outstanding training and support to ensure you are the best you can be in your new Disability Assessor role! ### What we look for; - An NMC registered nurse (RGN, RMN or RNLD) or HCPC qualified Physiotherapist, Paramedic or Occupational Therapist with 1 year’s or more broad post-registration experience - Someone who’s proactive and keen to learn - Excellent oral and written communication skills - Competent IT and computer skills - Comfortable working with a diverse range of conditions, including mental health Please click “apply” if you are open to hearing more!
