The Trade Marketing and Events Manager will play a critical role in elevating [Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk]'s presence in EMEA through strategic trade marketing initiatives and exceptional event execution. This role will manage relationships with key retail partners, ensure brand consistency across retail touchpoints, and oversee the planning and execution of major toys / collectibles events.
Your Role
The Trade Marketing and Events Manager will play a critical role in elevating [Employer hidden]'s presence in EMEA through strategic trade marketing initiatives and exceptional event execution. This role will manage relationships with key retail partners, ensure brand consistency across retail touchpoints, and oversee the planning and execution of major toys / collectibles events such as MCM Comic Con, Gamescom, London Toy Fair, and Nuremberg Spielwarenmesse.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the UK and/or EU retail market, with bonus points for knowledge of the Middle East region and retail trends.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement trade marketing strategies to drive brand awareness and sales through retail partners in Europe, and progressively across EMEA.
- Manage relationships with key retail partners, ensuring brand alignment and optimising in-store and online visibility.
- Collaborate with internal Singapore-based Creative and Marketing teams to develop retail marketing assets, including point-of-sale materials, promotional items, and digital content.
- Analyse retail performance data to inform trade marketing strategies and improve ROI.
- Identify new retail opportunities and partnerships to expand [Employer hidden]'s footprint in the EMEA region.
Event Management:
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of [Employer hidden]'s presence at major events, including MCM Comic Con, Gamescom, London Toy Fair, and Nuremberg Spielwarenmesse.
- Manage all aspects of event logistics, including coordinating with our Singapore-based teams for booth design and product displays, independently handling staffing, and planning and execution for on-site activations.
- Collaborate with our marketing team to ensure event messaging aligns with broader brand initiatives.
- Develop post-event reports to assess success metrics and identify areas for improvement.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with the Managing Director EMEA, to align trade marketing and event strategies with overall business goals.
- Partner with the global marketing team to ensure brand consistency and leverage global campaigns in local markets.
- Coordinate with the sales team to support retail promotions and product launches.
- Manage external suppliers and agencies to deliver high-quality retail and event executions.
Requirements
- Prior experience in trade marketing, event management, or a related role, preferably within the collectibles, toy, or lifestyle product industries.
- Proven experience managing retail partnerships and executing large-scale events in UK / Europe.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Hands-on experience in planning and executing both B2B and B2C events.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of the European retail landscape is essential; familiarity with the GCC market is a plus.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
