Job Description
A secondary school in Coventry is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to support pupils with behavioural, emotional, and social challenges. The role focuses on improving engagement, attendance, and behaviour through targeted mentoring and pastoral support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group mentoring for pupils
- Support pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs
- Work with teaching staff to improve engagement in lessons
- Support pupils’ attendance, punctuality, and wellbeing
- Maintain clear records and contribute to pupil engagement plans
Desired Experience + Qualifications
- Experience working with young people in an educational setting
- Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- Ability to support pupils with SEND and SEMH needs
- Calm, resilient, and adaptable approach
- DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
