Job Description
You’ll support children across Early Years provision through play-based learning, communication development, and simple routines. You’ll assist with small-group activities, model positive interactions, and prepare resources that help pupils access early literacy, numeracy, and social skills. Working closely with the class teacher, you’ll help create a warm, predictable environment where children feel safe, confident, and ready to explore.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support children in early communication, play, and social interaction.
- Deliver simple phonics, language, and fine-motor activities.
- Reinforce routines and model positive behaviour.
- Assist teachers with preparation, observations, and engagement tasks.
Desired Experience + Qualifications
- Experience with Early Years or nursery-aged children.
- Warm, patient communication style.
- Confident using structured routines and visual cues.
- Strong safeguarding awareness and collaborative approach.
