An early years setting in Oxfordshire is seeking a compassionate 1:1 EYFS SEND Support Assistant to work with a child with complex needs. This afternoon role requires someone experienced in supporting children with challenging behaviours and confident working within a nursery or EYFS environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with complex SEND needs
- Support emotional regulation and behaviour management
- Assist with early years learning activities and routines
- Work closely with the class teacher and SEND team
- Encourage engagement, development, and independence
Desired Experience + Qualifications
- Experience supporting children with complex SEND needs
- Previous 1:1 support experience in a school or nursery setting
- Strong understanding of EYFS practices
- Experience supporting challenging behaviours
- Patient, resilient, and nurturing approach
- DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
