An early years setting in Oxfordshire is seeking a compassionate 1:1 EYFS SEND Support Assistant to work with a child with complex needs. This afternoon role requires someone experienced in supporting children with challenging behaviours and confident working within a nursery or EYFS environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with complex SEND needs
  • Support emotional regulation and behaviour management
  • Assist with early years learning activities and routines
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SEND team
  • Encourage engagement, development, and independence

Desired Experience + Qualifications

  • Experience supporting children with complex SEND needs
  • Previous 1:1 support experience in a school or nursery setting
  • Strong understanding of EYFS practices
  • Experience supporting challenging behaviours
  • Patient, resilient, and nurturing approach
  • DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
