Job Description
A primary school in Oxfordshire (Didcot area) is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils within the classroom. This role is ideal for someone with experience providing 1:1 support and working with children who may require additional support with SEND or challenging behaviours.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 support for pupils who require additional assistance
- Support learning activities within the classroom
- Assist with behaviour management and pupil engagement
- Work closely with teachers and SEND staff to support pupil progress
- Encourage independence and confidence in learning
Desired Experience + Qualifications
- Previous 1:1 support experience
- Experience working within a primary school setting
- Knowledge of SEND needs and challenging behaviours
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Patient, proactive, and supportive approach
- DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
