FULL DESCRIPTION

Start your trainee programme at [Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk]! Get to know different departments, grow professionally and personally, and discover where your strengths lie. Over 18 months, experience different areas of expertise, such as acquisition/sales, project planning and structural engineering.

What can you expect from the trainee programme?

Over the course of 18 months, you will experience a variety of different areas of expertise and discover where your passion lies:

  • Variety: You will gain in-depth insight into different areas of expertise, such as acquisition/sales, project planning and structural engineering. This will give you a thorough understanding of the design and construction of a car park from start to finish.
  • On-site experience: During your construction management phase, you will be right in the thick of things – on our construction sites, where ideas take shape and steel becomes structure. Shadow and assist our site managers actively on site.
  • Optional stay abroad: Broaden your horizons and gain international experience on one of our construction sites abroad.
  • Network: You will work with experienced colleagues, customers and partner companies and make valuable contacts which will stay with you long after the trainee programme is over.
  • Your start date: Flexible! Together we will find the right time for you to join us.

What should you bring to the table?

  • Degree: Our trainee programme is aimed at university graduates – you have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering, architecture or a comparable field.
  • Initial experience: You have gained initial insights in the form of internships and/or working student positions in a relevant field of civil engineering.
  • Working style: You have an independent and structured way of working, willingness to learn and motivation to familiarise yourself with the different areas of the business.
  • Language skills: We offer opportunities to work on construction sites in our international business and to participate in our international cooperation. This requires fluent English skills (spoken and written), as well as average German skills (B1).
  • Willingness to travel: You are interested in working on one of our construction sites for a period of time. You are keen to travel internationally for training purposes.

You don’t meet all the criteria? Don’t worry! For us, it is more important that you are a good fit and share our company values.

Get to know our departments and choose your modules:

01 Project Design

In project planning, you design the construction project from the draft design phase through to the implementation design phase. Your goal is to design the project to the desired quality specification and within the calculated budget in terms of planning. Modelling software for 2D and 3D planning is used for this purpose.

02 Technical Building Services

In technical building services, you design and implement all technical systems that make the car park usable. This includes, for example, drainage and sanitary design.

03 Pre-Construction

In pre-construction, you ensure that our projects will be completed according to programme and in budget. Your goal is to ensure that all materials are procured to specification and delivered in the right place at the right time; for example by creating material lists and schedules, in order to optimise costs and resources.

04 Design Management

In Design Management, you will be responsible for comprehensive and coordinated design and will provide ongoing support to the design and construction site team in technical matters. One of your most important tasks will be to check the design with regards required regulations and standards, including fire safety and structural aspects.

05 Structural Engineering

In structural engineering, you will learn about our Huber construction system. You will carry out structural analyses to ensure that the car park remains stable and secure in all conditions. To do this, it is important to understand the requirements of the regulations and the materials used.

06 Steel construction

In steel construction, you will plan our car parks using Tekla BIM software. You will construct beams, columns and ceiling panels to form a stable framework and design a digital twin of the planned structure.

07 Construction management

During the construction management phase, you will support our experienced construction managers in coordinating and supervising the construction site. For example, you will ensure that schedules and budgets are adhered to, carry out quality controls and ensure subcontractors are working according to schedule and quality expectations.

08 Acquisition/Sales

In acquisition, you assess tenders and ensure that customer-oriented quotations are prepared. If a potential customer is satisfied with the content of the quotation, the final step is to conclude the contract.

About us

Of course, we know our way around a box: maximum standard, maximum efficiency. But we are really good at developing tailor-made solutions for special challenges. After all, no two car parks are the same. There is always something different: local conditions, desired utilisation goals, client needs, etc. Our MSCPs are a perfect reflection of their requirements. And that’s a good thing: building a new car park or extending an existing one is a major investment. It is therefore important that the solution is a perfect match for the challenge.

But nobody wants a tailor-made solution for every little detail. That is why [Employer hidden] has developed a composite steel system that allows short construction times thanks to prefabricated elements – and thus a high degree of planning security thanks to short interim financing periods. At the same time, this modular system leaves plenty of room for individual ideas. This enables us to develop solutions that are precisely customised to the respective requirements while keeping costs low and, above all, transparent. This is what really sets us apart from other providers. [Employer hidden] has basically turned flexibility into a system.
