We are seeking a qualified and experienced Prosthetist to provide maternity cover for a 12-month period at our clinic in Billericay, Essex. This role offers the opportunity to work within a dedicated multi-disciplinary team, supporting patients with a wide range of prosthetic needs to improve mobility, independence, and quality of life.

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Prosthetist to provide maternity cover for a 12-month period at our clinic in Billericay, Essex. This role offers the opportunity to work within a dedicated multi-disciplinary team, supporting patients with a wide range of prosthetic needs to improve mobility, independence, and quality of life.

The successful candidate will manage a diverse clinical caseload, contribute to service development, and provide patient-centred care of the highest standard.

Your Responsibilties

  • Provide assessment, design, fitting, and ongoing management of prosthetic devices.
  • Work closely with patients to understand their goals and provide tailored solutions.
  • ​Collaborate with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, technicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated care.
  • Monitor patient progress, carry out adjustments, and ensure devices meet functional and clinical requirements.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records in line with professional and service standards.
  • Participate in clinical meetings, audits, and service improvement initiatives.
  • Uphold best practices in patient care, safety, and professional ethics.

Requirements:

  • BSc (Hons) in Prosthetics & Orthotics or an equivalent recognised qualification.
  • HCPC registration as a Prosthetist.
  • Proven clinical experience in prosthetic patient care.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Commitment to patient-centred care and continuous professional development.
  • Organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied caseload effectively.

Desirable:

  • Experience working within an NHS or private clinical setting.
  • Familiarity with a wide range of prosthetic componentry and technologies.
  • Evidence of participation in clinical research, service development, or teaching
