We are seeking an experienced commercial leader to drive the commercial strategy across our product portfolio. This pivotal role will combine strategic planning, business development, customer relationship management, and commercial oversight to accelerate growth within both established and emerging markets.

We are seeking an experienced commercial leader to drive the commercial strategy across our product portfolio. This pivotal role will combine strategic planning, business development, customer relationship management, and commercial oversight to accelerate growth within both established and emerging markets. The role will work closely with the [Employer hidden] Sales Team and collaborate with operational, manufacturing and product development teams across the wider Eqwal Group to ensure our product offering meets customer needs and remains competitive in a rapidly evolving sector. It also offers a significant opportunity to shape the future commercial direction of the [Employer hidden] business, with scope for growth in responsibility and reward as the division continues to expand internationally.
Your Duties and Responsibilites:
In this role you will:
- Develop and lead the commercial sales strategy for [Employer hidden] across UK and international markets.
- Identify new market opportunities, partnerships, and revenue streams.
- Build and lead strategic relationships with key customers, distributors, manufacturers and international partners.
- Oversee tender submissions, pricing strategies, and commercial negotiations.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and sector developments to inform decision-making.
- Collaborate with the Steeper Product Development and Sales teams to influence innovation and lifecycle management.
- Lead commercial forecasting, budgeting, and reporting activities.
- Ensure commercial practices comply with regulatory, contractual, and quality requirements.
- Represent the organisation at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings
What we'e looking for:
*Essential*
- Proven experience in a commercial leadership role within medical devices, healthcare technology, prosthetics/orthotics, or related sectors.
- Strong understanding of procurement, contracting, or medical device supply chains.
- Demonstrated success in developing and delivering commercial growth strategies.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong commercial and analytical capability, with the ability to interpret market and financial data to inform strategic decisions.
- A proactive, collaborative, and commercially driven mindset.
*Desirable*
- Experience working within prosthetic or orthotic manufacturing.
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (e.g., MDR, ISO 13485).
- International commercial experience.
- Background in working with clinical teams or rehabilitation services.
