FULL DESCRIPTION

[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] is seeking an experienced Mango Product Manager to join a leading fresh produce company. This role will manage the entire mango product lifecycle, ensuring quality, compliance, and smooth operations from stock management through to customer delivery. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in mango or tropical fruit management within a packhouse environment, with strong organisational and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain customer product stocks.
  • Produce daily order-of-use / stock allocation schedules.
  • Conduct and oversee product re-inspections.
  • Verify and publish QC team reports and action plans.
  • Investigate and resolve customer rejections; update internal systems.
  • Liaise with customer product and technical managers, providing regular quality updates.
  • Maintain quality service level (QSL) reports and Safe Food 360 complaint dashboards.
  • Support training on product-specific processes.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven track record in mango product management within a packhouse environment.
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work in cold environments and handle physical tasks, including lifting boxes to over two metres high.
  • Flexible approach to working hours during peak demand periods.

Working Environment

  • Warehouse/packhouse-based role with some desk work.
  • Time-critical, deadline-driven environment.
  • Cold storage working conditions for extended periods.

Performance Measures

  • Quality service levels (internal & external).
  • Product knowledge and accuracy.
  • Timekeeping, attendance, and health & safety compliance.
