Core focus of the Housekeeping Supervisor – Luxury Residential Building
Reporting to the Building Manager, the Housekeeping Supervisor will be responsible for managing all cleaning and housekeeping operations within the luxury residential development, ensuring the highest standards of presentation and hygiene are consistently maintained across communal areas and resident amenities.
Day-to-day of the role
- Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and motivate the on-site housekeeping team and external cleaning contractors, ensuring efficient scheduling and deployment of staff.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular, detailed inspections of all communal areas, plant rooms, amenity spaces (e.g., gym, cinema room, lounge), and show apartments to ensure they meet the client’s exacting 5-star standards.
- Operational Management: Manage inventory and ordering of cleaning supplies, materials, and equipment, ensuring cost-effectiveness and appropriate stock levels.
- Health & Safety: Ensure the housekeeping team adheres strictly to all Health & Safety (COSHH) regulations and safe working practices.
- Liaison: Work closely with the Concierge, Maintenance, and Management teams to coordinate cleaning schedules around building activities and resident needs.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate records of cleaning logs, staff rotas, and quality audits.
Skills you need
You are an organised, proactive, and quality-driven professional with a proven background in maintaining pristine environments, ideally within the luxury sector.
Essential Requirements:
- Experience: Proven experience (2+ years) as a Housekeeping Supervisor or Head Housekeeper, ideally gained within a luxury 5-star hotel, high-end residential, or corporate environment.
- Standards Focus: Exceptional eye for detail and an uncompromising commitment to maintaining the highest possible cleaning standards.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to effectively manage, train, and motivate a diverse team.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, equipment, and COSHH regulations.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills, able to liaise effectively with staff, management, and residents.
- Work Ethic: Reliable, discreet, and professional approach to work.
