Who you are:

A bright and highly creative individual with a passion for visual design, who can quickly interpret briefs and manage demanding and changing deadlines to a high standard. You will bring energy and a great attitude to a variety of projects. You're skilled with software like Sketch, Adobe CS, InVision, DSM etc. 

Main Purpose of the Role:

The Mid-Weight UI Designer are responsible for designing beautiful and engaging interfaces on top of usable ones. They have a good understanding of UX principles and are able to successfully translate UX needs into impeccable user-centred interfaces. They are able to support the UX team in times of need.

They will be working with some of the world's leading luxury brands to bring their voice to life through visual digital design and engaging experiences. 

Key Responsibilities

• Be a key part of the design team working under the supervision of the UI Senior Designers and the Associate Creative Director
• Supply pixel-perfect designs across devices for various user interfaces and platforms
• Concept design and production design
• Creation of digital style guides
• Interact effectively with the whole design team and wider company staff, across departments
• Strong synergy with development team – provide a flawless handover to development

Skills/Requirements

• An eye for aesthetics to deliver pleasing experiences on top of usable ones
• Experience using or building a design system to keep consistency within design
• Willing to take initiative and ownership of tasks and deliverables
• Organised, efficient and accurate with a Hawk’s Eye for details
• Able to prioritise, work well under pressure and to tight deadlines
• Happy to receive constructive criticism to ultimately improve the end result
• Great understanding of UX principles
• Animations skills are a plus

Requirements

• Stunning portfolio
• Strong foundation in typography, layout and visual design
• Interaction and user-centred visual design excellence
• Provable experience using or building design systems
• Minimum 3+ years experience with strong examples of work
• Experience in the ecommerce/luxury space would be very desirable. If not, you’ll need very transferrable skills and a passion for working within the ecommerce/luxury space

• Fluency in industry software including Sketch, Adobe CS, InVision, DSM, Figma

• Experience designing for leading eCommerce platforms such as, Magento 2, Shopify Plus, BigCommerce, Salesforce
• Experience with Harvest and Asana
• Animation softwares
