Deputy Care Home Manager – Children’s Residential (Ofsted)
£35,500 to £36,500 per year
Preston
Full-time, permanent
UK right-to-work required – no sponsorship available
What you’ll be responsible for
- Supporting the Registered Manager in the day-to-day leadership of an Ofsted-regulated children’s residential home
- Leading, coaching and supporting Support Workers on shift
- Maintaining high standards of safeguarding, care planning and behaviour support
- Supporting Ofsted compliance, inspections and quality assurance processes
- Building positive relationships with families, professionals and external partners
- Creating a safe, stable, therapeutic and nurturing environment for children and young people
What you’ll need
- Experience as a Deputy Manager, Senior Support Worker or Manager in an Ofsted-regulated children’s residential home
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, children’s residential care and regulatory standards
- Confident leadership, communication and shift-leading skills
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, or working towards it
- A values-led approach with a commitment to achieving positive outcomes for children and young people
