Team Leader – Children’s Residential Home

£14.25 to £14.75 per hour (£33,800 to £34,800 per year including sleep-ins)

Preston

Permanent, full-time

UK right-to-work required – no sponsorship available

Your role as a Team Leader

- Lead, supervise and support a team of Support Workers to deliver high-quality, child-centred care

- Ensure care plans, behaviour support strategies and safeguarding procedures are followed consistently

- Support the Deputy Manager and Registered Manager with daily operations in an Ofsted-regulated children’s home

- Promote positive routines, independence and skill development for children and young people

- Model professional practice and provide guidance, coaching and mentorship to staff

- Build positive relationships with families, social workers and external professionals

- Maintain accurate records and contribute to Ofsted-compliant practice and quality assurance

What we are looking for

- Experience as a Senior Support Worker, Team Leader or similar role in children’s residential care

- Strong leadership skills with a calm, caring and consistent approach

- Level 3 qualification in Children’s Residential Care (or willingness to work towards Level 4/5)

- Strong understanding of safeguarding and children’s residential care standards

- Commitment to achieving positive outcomes for children and young people

- Reliability, resilience and the ability to lead by example
