JOB OPPORTUNITY – BOOKKEEPING & PAYROLL CLERK
ST LEONARDS ON SEA
Salary dependent on experience
THE OPPORTUNITY:
We are a well-established and highly reputable firm of Accountants based in St Leonards on Sea who are looking for an experienced Bookkeeping and Payroll clerk to join their team.
As a Bookkeeper you will be looking after client accounts using Sage Line 50, Xero, Quickbooks and other software, and working alongside an existing team of Accountants. You will be working with a select number of clients.
As a Payroll Clerk you will be working with our software and working with a wide range of clients making this a challenging and varied role.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Recording financial transactions
- Maintaining company’s ledgers
- Accurately recording payments
- Reconciling bank accounts and other Balance Sheet accounts
- Completing VAT returns
- Producing financial reporting as required
- Supporting administrative duties
- Additional duties as required
- Processing payroll for a variety of clients to strict deadlines
- Ensure HMRC payroll filing requirements are met
THE PERSON:
Previous experience within a similar client facing Bookkeeping/Payroll role
Able to oversee the function without supervision albeit ongoing support and training will be provided
Must hold relevant Accounting qualification(s) or QBE (Qualified by Experience)
