Job Title: Football Coach (Children’s Sessions & Birthday Parties)
Location: Poolfoot Farm Sports Complex, Butts Road, Thornton Cleveleys, FY5 4HX (and surrounding delivery locations)
Employment Type : Casual / Part-Time
Weekend work required; occasional weekday work available.
Overview: [Employer hidden] is seeking an enthusiastic and energetic Football Coach to deliver high-quality football sessions and engaging children’s birthday parties for ages 1–12 years.
We are looking for someone who can create fun, safe, inclusive and development-focused experiences for all children, while representing the Trust with professionalism and positivity.
Core Duties & Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver enjoyable, age-appropriate football sessions for children aged 1–12 years.
- Lead football-themed birthday parties, ensuring a fun, organised and memorable experience for all participants.
- Adapt coaching styles and activities to suit a range of ages, abilities and group sizes.
- Provide excellent communication and customer service to parents, guardians, and venue staff.
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all participants, following Trust safeguarding and health & safety procedures.
- Set up, pack away and maintain equipment to a high standard.
- Uphold the Trust’s values and act as a positive ambassador at all times.
- Attend and complete all required in-house training and induction sessions.
Skills & Qualifications
Essential:
- FA Level 1 / Introduction to Coaching Football qualification.
- Experience working with children aged 1–12 years.
- Enhanced DBS, Safeguarding, and First Aid (training can be provided if not already held).
- Confident communicator with a friendly, positive, and energetic approach.
- Ability to work weekends as the primary requirement.
- Reliability, good time-management, and a professional attitude.
Desirable:
- Own transport or ability to travel independently between delivery sites.
- Additional coaching qualifications (football or multi-sport).
- Previous experience coaching in community, school or club environments.
- Experience delivering children’s parties or group-based play activities.
