We are looking for enthusiastic, ambitious, hardworking and reliable people to be the face of youth provision by supporting young people who attend sessions

Job Title: Youth Worker

Location: The Hub, North Albert Street, Fleetwood

Rate of Pay: £12.21 up to £14 per hour

Hours of Work: Evenings and occasional school holidays

Reports to: Head of Community Engagement

Contract Status: Zero Hour Contract

Overview: [Employer hidden] (FTCT) is a vibrant and active community project that aims to provide socially inclusive community, health and education engagement programmes which aim to make a difference to the lives of people within our communities.

Purpose of Position: [Employer hidden] has an exciting opportunity for a Community Youth Worker to support the delivery of our youth hub programmes.

We are looking for enthusiastic, ambitious, hardworking and reliable people to be the face of youth provision by supporting young people who attend sessions

Core Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support with youth events throughout the year.
  • Support with the continued development of our youth provision
  • Inspire and motivate young people
  • Support the promotion and recruitment of young people to our provisions.
  • Assist the Inclusion Coordinator in delivering day time and evening activities.
  • Represent [Employer hidden] in a professional manner and contribute towards the promotion of programmes.
  • To work flexible hours as the job role requires.
  • Work alongside colleagues to provide the best experience possible for our young people.
  • Any other reasonable duties and responsibilities considered appropriate by the Head of Community Engagement

Skills & Qualifications

Essential:

  • Up to date safeguarding and first aid courses
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellend planning and organisation skills
  • Understanding the needs of the local area
  • Ability to work well as part of a team as well as independently

Desirable:

  • NGB Level 2 or above
  • Relevant youth work qualification
  • Experience of working with children and young people
