Account Manager - Social Media
A fast growing B2B marketing agency is looking to recruit an experienced Account Manager to work within our social media department. The Account Manager will report into the Head of Social Media and will create and implement cross-channel social media strategies for multiple clients in the retail technology sector. Must have demonstrable account management and B2B social media experience.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day running of a multitude of social media platforms for multiple clients across different time zones and regions
- Run all activity in-line with pre-defined social media strategies and messaging
- Create engagement with prospects, partners, customers, the press and other stakeholders
- Track and report on interaction with prospects to feed into the lead generation funnel
- Carry out in-depth statistical and analytical reporting and interpret results to inform change and to tie in with other marketing activity
- Optimisation of all social media accounts including settings, descriptions and imagery
- Identify new trends in the social media space to continuously build on success; tools, applications, channels, design, updates, news, strategy etc
- Provide ongoing analysis, key insights and recommendations to optimise performance of the different social media channels
- Implement, monitor and tweak targeted social media advertising campaigns
- Work across departments to deliver output relevant to the client’s ever evolving focuses
- Create and deliver presentations
- Manage timelines and deadlines, ensuring everything is being delivered
- Consult clients about campaign requirements, objectives, KPIs and activity
Key skills and expertise
- Expertise in B2B social media management across a range of channels, vitally Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Google+
- Passion for all things social media and digital
- Account management experience a must; client management, organising weekly calls, managing contact reports, arranging meetings, ensuring all activity is complete day-to-day, timelines, reporting.
- Perfect spelling and grammar and creative content creation
- Strong understanding of the sales and marketing funnel - which leads to monitor and nurture, and what content to use in getting those leads to the next stage in the process
- Great content development and editing skills and experience in adapting results based content across social channels
- Analytics skills in evaluating social media data and drawing actionable insights
- Experience in implementing and adapting social strategies; running tests, analysing results every day to constantly improve marketing deliverables
- Must be a news junkie - need to know what people are saying, what's changing on social networks and in the industry, and be able to react and respond accordingly
- Have demonstrable skills in being a community facilitator and creating engagement with businesses and individuals across social platforms
- Understanding of other aspects of marketing including, email marketing, PR, events, SEO, PPC, online communities, web development
- Strong experience using the following tools; Google Analytics, Hootsuite, Photoshop and knowledge of other social media platforms including Sprout Social, Follower Wonk, Moz.
