FULL DESCRIPTION

Drive proactive safety, audits, training and compliant risk management.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance. - Develop, implement, and review site-specific risk assessments and method statements. - Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, recommending effective corrective and preventative actions. - Deliver comprehensive health and safety training and inductions to site personnel and contractors. - Ensure strict adherence to all relevant UK health and safety legislation and company policies. - Advise project teams and management on best practices for health, safety, and environmental protection. - Maintain accurate and up-to-date H&S records, reports, and documentation. - Promote a positive and proactive health and safety culture across all operational sites. - Assist in the development and continuous improvement of H&S management systems and procedures. - Monitor and evaluate contractor health and safety performance

About You

- We are looking for a proactive and experienced Health & Safety professional ready to make a significant impact within a leading construction environment. You will be a confident communicator with a strong understanding of site operations and regulatory requirements. - Proven mid-senior level experience as a Health & Safety Advisor, ideally within the construction sector. - Relevant health and safety qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH Construction Certificate or Diploma). - Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and industry best practices. - Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. - Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations. - Proficiency in using H&S management systems and reporting tools.
