As a registered staff nurse, you will work closely within a supportive multidisciplinary team, helping to deliver high-quality, safe and efficient surgical care. Our average patient ratio of 1:5 ensures you have the time to focus on what matters most — providing attentive, compassionate care and building meaningful patient relationships.

With the launch of new services and growing patient demand, you will have the opportunity to be part of a dynamic and expanding surgical service, delivering exceptional care across the entire patient journey – from admission through to discharge.
This role is for 40 hours per week working 3 days per week between the hours of 07:00 – 20:30 or 20:00 – 07:30 Monday to Sunday.
Role Responsibilities
- Always demonstrate good clinical practice and be accountable for own actions, working within the NMC code of conduct.
- Assess, plan, and deliver care, based on individual patient needs, across both inpatients and day surgery patients.
- Act as role model, promoting a learning environment.
- Maintain accurate records of patient care.
- Respect and ensure patient privacy and confidentiality.
Person Specification
Essential
- Be a qualified Adult Nurse with current NMC PIN
- Have post-registration clinical experience.
- Be confident in building relationships with the ability to easily engage with others including consultants, colleagues and patients.
- Have knowledge of clinical governance and its application.
- Have good verbal and written communication skills.
Desirable
- Hold a Post Graduate course in the relevant specialty.
- Have experience in Medicine, surgery, orthopaedic or cardiac nursing.
- Have Knowledge of BADS (British Association of Day Surgery).
