Our Paul is retiring! After many years working with the Premier team Paul is retiring this Spring, and we are looking for someone to take up the mantle of his varied role.
This position is principally operating our 7.5 tonne, two car transporter, and 3.5 tonne one car transporter vehicles. Used for car relocation, service collection and delivery, and sometimes sales cars going to their new owners across the country. Also the delivery and collection of our rental car fleet with associated paperwork and car checking.
This varied role can mean that on some occasions, though not too often, due to the distances, the need for an overnight hotel stay may be necessary. In the most part the role involves car movements within 60 miles of the dealership.
The care and good presentation of the transporter falls within the role.
The standard week is 40 hours, but traffic conditions and location may on occasion extend the working day. Saturdays would be by prior arrangement only.
Given the need to present a sales car, new or used, at the point of delivery the successful applicant will be personable and of smart appearance, and able to represent the company to a good standard away from the showroom. And present the car and associated paperwork to the end user in co-operation with the sales or rental team.
A good driving record, CAT C HGV 2 & Driver CPC, along with a digital drivers/ tachograph card is a pre-requirement.
We offer a standard 40 hours at £14.42 hr. With 20 days Holiday plus all bank Holidays, a pension scheme, and up to two subsidised new rental cars (after probation period). Uniform is provided.
