FULL DESCRIPTION

Senior Carer

Reports to Care Coordinator/Field Manager

Location: [Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] Services Limited, however staff may be required to work from other locations at the discretion of the company and with appropriate notice.

Working Hours: 5 days over 7-day period, as agreed with the manager.

Experience & Skills

  • Working experience in a Health and Social Care environment.
  • Be driven and able to demonstrate good leadership skills.
  • Able to provide 2 references one being from your most recent job and 1 character reference
  • DBS (in the UK) or Confirmation that they have no criminal record.
  • Must be willing to have a DBS check if one cannot prove that they have no criminal record.
  • Be hard working with great communication skills
  • Be of a caring and compassionate nature

Qualifications

(Any one of the below mentioned)

  • BTEC Level 3 – Health and Social Care or Equivalent
  • Level 3 Red Cross Nurse Aid Course or Equivalent
  • St Johns Ambulance Level 3 Nurse Aid Course or Equivalent

Duties of Senior Carer

Overview

(Note: In addition to these duties employees will be required to any tasks as they arise as far as reasonably practicable)

  • To provide leadership to the Healthcare Assistant staff within [Employer hidden] Services Ltd.
  • To provide care in accordance with current best practices, according to policy and procedures, agreed standards, legislative requirements, relevant regulations under the direction of the Care coordinator.
  • To supervise the service provision within [Employer hidden] Services Ltd in accordance with agreed standards.
  • To maintain skills at a current level, and undertake professional development training in line with own career progression. Career professional development is mandatory.

Role Specific Duties:

  • Ensure Service Users are at the heart of the service delivery and their wishes and preferences enhance their wellbeing.
  • To ensure that all staff contribute to the efficient running of the service and supervise staff.
  • Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of those individuals they support.

Working with Others:

  • Develop effective working relationships with other employees within [Employer hidden] Services Ltd.
  • Work in cooperation with members of the multi-disciplinary teams to maximise opportunities for service users.

  • Seek opportunities for personal and professional growth.
