Salary: £35,000 - £45,000pa Negotiable

As part of our plan for continuous development both internally and externally an opportunity within the commercial team as a Bid Manager has become available. This role will play a crucial part in the collation of information when preparing Bid submissions both with the extraction of data and management of relationships with Subcontractors or Suppliers to ensure accurate and quality submissions.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Bid Submissions, ability to pull together a bid team where required. Having a thorough understanding of contracts, Sub-Contractors timelines and requirements, Quality element, pulling bids together and coordinating the resources required to build a quality submission.
  • Sub-contractor information and Rates, understanding the Sub contractor rates, over time by building relationships with them, Lining companies and Traffic Management.
  • Rates and Costs – the ability to pull the numbers together from various data sources.
  • Managing the Market intelligence database, maintaining relationships with various internal and external contacts, Sub-contractors, Customers and suppliers.
  • Customer Database updates, building internal relationships including with internal Estimators within other organisations across our customer database

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with quality submission bids is essential.
  • Familiarity with NEC type contracts is desirable.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft packages including Excel
  • High attention to detail with the ability to identify and report errors to management.
  • Ability to handle large files and confidential data.
  • Methodical, logical, and organised.
