Senior Planning Engineer
We now have a need for Senior Planning Engineer to work at our Head Office in Ipswich.
Main Duties for the Senior Planning Engineer
- Thoroughly review all tender documentation and using your construction experience, consider options on how the scheme can best be delivered within the constraints - Ensure that while planning each tender, all possible alternative methods and strategies have been considered and discussed with the tender team - Jointly reviewing sub-contracted work with respect to buildability and tender compliance, seeking advice from the Technical Manager when necessary - Assist with providing supporting documents for each tender submission as required - Ensure that any programmes and supporting documents produced, comply with all schemes’ specific constraints - Provide advice and assistance on planning, methods of construction, solutions to engineering problems and programme creation - Keep up to date with industry developments, innovations, and legislation
Are you the person we are looking for?
The ideal candidate will have a wide experience of working on civil engineering sites, will have a minimum of an HNC civil engineering qualification and be comfortable working in a team.
We’re after someone with good communication skills and ideally the successful candidate should preferably be conversant with programming software, such as Asta or Microsoft Project. Although this isn’t as essential as the correct site experience and training can be provided.
