FULL DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a forward-thinking Team Leader at our day service for adults with learning disabilities, mental health and physical disabilities. We need someone who is driven to help our clients achieve their goals and ambitions, learn new skills and to enable them to be as independent as possible, but is also able to lead the team through example and support.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To participate in the day-to-day implementation of individual support plans and activities within a challenging environment
  • To maintain effective communication and liaison with clients, families and the team, whilst respecting appropriate confidentiality
  • To maintain accurate notes and records as and when required
  • To ensure clients attend planned activities and increase the variety of activities provided with a focus on obtainable Life Skills
  • Be able to prioritise workloads
  • Work with external professionals and companies in a professional manner
  • Leading and role modelling good support
  • Completing supervisions and return to work’s as needed
  • Be able to deputise in the care managers absence, based on the floor

Role Requirements:

  • The drive and passion to support vulnerable adults, understanding their needs
  • A positive, friendly, and adaptable approach
  • The desire and commitment to achieve high standards of safeguarding
  • Patience and ability to keep calm under pressure with the confidence to work alone or as part of a team
  • Excellent time keeping and communication skills
  • Experience of work within this sector
  • Preferably experience within a senior/team leader role
  • Online DBS preferrable but not necessary

Working hours: Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm with the potential for some evenings and weekends in the future

Location: near High Wycombe Town Centre

Rate: £14.25 per hour / £29,640 per annum
