Behaviour Mentors are required at Overstone Independent School in Northampton on a permanent basis. Job Details: Position: Teaching Assistant - Full Time Available Flexible hours available as shown below: Full time teaching assistant: - £22,000.00 to £23,000 per annum before the deduction of tax and National insurance - Annual full-time salary for 35 working hours (8.00am to 4.00pm with one hour unpaid lunch break) per week which is paid over 52 weeks. - 13 weeks paid holiday annually.

A job description will be provided on interview: To provide a complementary service to teachers and other staff, addressing the needs of children who require assistance in overcoming barriers to learning in order to achieve their full potential, or accessing the curriculum. To work with a range of pupils, but give priority to those who need the most help, especially those experiencing multiple disadvantages including: - Children with special or medical needs. - Challenging behavior. - Children with a statement of special educational needs. - To predominantly be education based but will have a wider remit including working with families and the wider community. To work with children on a one-to-one basis or in small or large groups, acting as a: - Listener. - Facilitator for learning. - Encourager. - Motivator. - Role model.

Core Purpose: - To work with pupils additional needs and behavior has significant impact upon their attainment. - To support the ethos of the school. - To improve progress and achievement by helping to minimize barriers to learning and maximize pupil participation.

Qualifications: - Qualification in Level 2 or 3 in childcare or Health and social care. - Training is offered. - Experience: Three years of working with children or within the care sector.
