FULL DESCRIPTION

[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] is offering a paid apprenticeship program in London, UK, providing a 360-degree introduction to lighting design. The program includes theoretical training through an Advanced Diploma in Illumination Engineering and practical experience with an award-winning team. Apprentices will learn lighting principles, CAD drawing, 3D modeling, project management, and communication skills, working on live projects in various sectors.

What you'll learn during the 2-year apprenticeship

  • Build a solid foundation in lighting principles, design theory, and illumination engineering.
  • Develop hands-on skills in CAD drawing, visualisation, 3D modelling, and photometric calculations.
  • Learn how to create inspiring lighting concepts, mood boards, and presentation visuals.
  • Work alongside designers at all levels on live projects in hospitality, residential, workplace, and retail sectors.
  • Grow your project management, teamwork, and communication skills, collaborating with clients, architects and suppliers as you progress through your apprenticeship.
  • Work 4 days a week and have 1 day a week to focus on the Advanced Diploma in Illumination Engineering.

  • School or college leavers.
  • Must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
  • You must have a genuine passion for design, creativity and the built environment, but you don't need prior lighting experiences.
