“Before joining Blaen Y Waun & Ty Canol, I worked in retail for 10 years. Making the move into residential childcare took me a long time, but I’m so glad I finally did it — I only wish I’d done it sooner. No day is ever the same, and this job has given me real purpose when I wake up in the morning. Both homes have such a warm, supportive environment where everyone wants the best for the young people. When I started, I didn’t have much confidence, but the team really believed in me and helped me grow.
