As our Engineering Team Leader, you will support the Engineering team here at Pro-Pak, reporting into the Engineering Manager on-site. This role will oversee daily management of our on-site Maintenance Engineers on shift.

Your role will be to support the growth and strengthen our Malton based Engineering team.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Continuous improvement experience, using a range of tools and techniques
  • Safe systems of working, LOTO
  • Permit control across site
  • Working with an implemented PPM schedule alongside breakdown activity
  • Delivering all operational mechanical and electrical support on site
  • Finding efficiencies within the current workflow to increase output
  • Lead and motivate the team and record work completion through set KPI’s
  • PPM and corrective work compliance
  • Working closely with the Engineering Manager to assist in delivering broader site KPI’s
  • Manage external contractors on site out of hours.

  • Proven experience in leading and motivating a successful team .

Skills & Experience required:

  • Engineering-related qualification or relevant experience in an Engineering role within food manufacturing
  • Strong technical knowledge and an aptitude for both Mechanical and Electrical Engineering
  • Working knowledge of BRC standards and customer codes of practice
  • Strong people management skills
  • Working knowledge and use of CMMS systems
  • Experience working in a LEAN manufacturing environment, using LEAN tools such as TMP
  • Knowledge and understanding of OEE.
