About the Role

[Employer hidden] is seeking dedicated and motivated General Practitioners to join our Enhanced Access Primary Care Service. Working in Havant and Waterlooville, you will provide safe, effective, and patient-centred care as part of a supportive, multi-disciplinary team.

You’ll ensure patients receive the right care, in the right place, at the right time, while contributing to the development of a high-quality, reliable service.

Location: Havant Health Centre & The Oaks, Waterlooville

Hours: The service requires cover during:

• Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 18:00 – 21:00 hrs
• Saturday: 09:00 – 17:00 hrs

You will not be expected to cover all hours.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients.
• Request and interpret investigations (e.g. x-rays, scans, blood tests).
• Make safe and appropriate referrals to secondary care.
• Deliver emergency care when required while awaiting transfer.
• Provide clinical advice and support to colleagues.
• Contribute to teaching, training, and service improvement.

About You

We’re looking for GPs who combine excellent clinical skills with a patient-first approach and a collaborative mindset.

Essential requirements:

• GMC registration and inclusion on the NHS performers list (no restrictions).
• GP accreditation and MRCGP (or equivalent).
• Experience in primary care and/or urgent care.
• Strong clinical and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be able to obtain Enhanced DBS clearance.

Desirable:

• Knowledge of EMIS clinical system.
• Understanding of QOF, LCS, DES, CQUINs.
• Leadership and organisational skills.
