Home care worker Carmarthen
Full Time | Part Time | Relief
Full UK Driving licence & Access to a car with business use required.
We pay a weekday rate of £12.60, including any travel time and downtime, with an enhanced weekend rate of £13.20 per hour plus 45p per mile.
We pay time and a half on bank holidays.
Job Role
As a Home Care Worker, you will deliver care and support in line with each individual’s support plan, promoting independence and meeting the National Wellbeing Outcomes. Your role will include personal care, medication support, meal preparation, and assisting with daily living. You will contribute to risk assessments, follow safeguarding procedures, and ensure care is delivered safely, respectfully, and in accordance with regulatory standards.
An enhanced DBS will be required for this role.

Daily tasks include support with medication, personal care, washing, dressing and day-to-day tasks as outlined within the service users care and support plan.

Training
All new staff take part in classroom training at our Carmarthenshire branch and practical sessions in our training flat, where you’ll learn to use equipment in a safe, realistic setting. You’ll also complete online learning modules. The local Health Board will train you in safe medication support. Before working independently, you will join shadowing shifts with experienced staff to build skills and confidence and be signed off by your manager when you are ready.
