Senior Data Scientist
We’re hiring a Senior Data Scientist to bring innovative data science to the world of compensation. [Employer hidden] is a data business, making this role pivotal in shaping how the our core product is generated, interpreted, and delivered.
You’ll work on challenging problems at the intersection of statistics and machine learning, uncovering the factors that determine pay across industries, roles, and markets. This is a hands-on role where analytical expertise meets commercial impact, helping build models that are robust, interpretable, and deliver meaningful value. You’ll collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Data teams to transform complex datasets into scalable, customer-facing products.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys tackling ambiguous problems, messy real-world data, and turning rigorous analysis into practical, impactful solutions.
What You’ll Do
- Develop domain expertise: Understand the compensation landscape and the factors shaping pay across roles, organisations, and markets.
- Analyze complex datasets: Explore large, real-world datasets to uncover patterns, trends, and actionable insights.
- Build statistical and ML models: Design models that power [Employer hidden]’s compensation insights, ensuring accuracy, robustness, and interpretability.
- Own modelling pipelines end-to-end: Build, deploy, and maintain scalable pipelines as data and product usage grow.
- Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with Product, Engineering, and Design to integrate data science capabilities into products.
- Communicate insights clearly: Translate complex findings into actionable recommendations for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Continuously improve: Refine models, methodologies, and data processes over time for better quality and impact.
You’ll Thrive Here If You…
- Hold a Masters or PhD in Data Science, Statistics, Machine Learning, Economics, or a related field
- Have strong foundations in statistics, modelling, and machine learning
- Are experienced with messy real-world datasets
- Are proficient in Python and libraries like pandas, numpy, and scikit-learn
- Can build and maintain production-ready modelling pipelines
- Balance technical rigor with practical business impact
- Communicate complex ideas clearly to diverse audiences
- Work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

Compensation & Benefits
- £80,000 - £120,000
