Position Summary: We have a unique opportunity for a Junior Trader to join our dynamic and rapidly growing team focused on environmental markets. This role is ideal for a talented and ambitious individual eager to develop trading and risk management skills. You will be mentored by our experienced trading team and gain invaluable insights into carbon markets and trading. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail, an interest in carbon markets, an understanding of risk, and the ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Trade Execution:
• Execute trades during market hours (07:00-17:00)
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness in all trading activities
• Position Management:
• Monitor and manage trading positions to maximise profitability and minimise risk
• Adjust positions based on market conditions and strategy
• Cashflow Management:
• Oversee cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for trading operations
• Manage the financial aspects of trading activities including margin requirements and settlement processes
• Customer Interaction and Relationship Building:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
• Assist the sales team in client meetings and presentations
• Provide market insights and advice to clients
• Market Analysis and Strategy:
• Conduct market research and analysis to inform trading strategies
• Develop and implement trading strategies based on market conditions and company objectives
• Stay informed of market trends, news, and economic factors affecting the market
• Market Updates and Reporting:
• Provide daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly market updates and reports to clients and internal teams
• Prepare detailed performance reports and trading summaries
• Compliance and Risk Management:
• Ensure all trading activities comply with relevant regulations and company policies
• Identify and mitigate trading risks
• Maintain accurate records of all trading activities
