About This Role

The Administrative Pastor collaborates with our Lead Pastor to oversee the main office, [Employer hidden] ministries, and volunteers. The Administrative Pastor uses analytical, business, and discipleship skills to provide business, operation, and spiritual leadership support to the church. Primary Responsibilities and Tasks of the Administrative Pastor

  • Develop and administer the policies and procedures of [Employer hidden].
  • Oversee the financial health of the church, including payroll, records, insurance needs, bill payment, and accounting processes.
  • Provide direction for the weekday operation of the church office.
  • Organize and supervise office staff and volunteers.
  • Oversee the security of the church.
  • Maintain an inventory of church property and equipment.
  • Administer policies and procedures concerning the use of all church property and facilities, including coordination of assigned rooms for meetings and activities.

Your Team

This position reports to the Senior Pastor.

This position relates to the leadership team.

This position currently oversees 5 volunteer office personnel, who serve in the church office on a weekly basis.

The Administrative Pastor participates in weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual team meetings as a part of the leadership team.

Key Performance Indicators

The strategy of the ministries that the Administrative Pastor leads reflect the overall growth strategy of the church:

  • Develop disciples and leaders.
  • Serve, engage and invite the community.
  • Grow City Groups who help others grow in faith.

The Administrative Pastor will be evaluated on the following three metrics

1.Increase volunteer involvement percentage over the next year.

  • Identify the percentage of members/attendees who are actively volunteering.
  • Collaborate with leadership team on a strategy to recruit more volunteers for the main office and other ministries.

2.Improve processes for Human Resources

  • Implement a consistent performance review process for church staff.
  • Create a monthly leadership development time for staff and lead volunteers.
  • Create a new staff onboarding process.
  • Hire one HR Assistant by the end of year one.

3.Identify giving growth over time and tools for improvement.

  • Create a weekly report of giving growth metrics to be presented to the leadership team weekly.
  • Research and implement a text-to-give service by the end of year one.

Your Schedule

This is a full-time, salaried position around 45 hours a week, with four days spent in the office and one day of flexible

working location. You may travel 15-25 nights a year for camps, conferences, or retreats
