Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure.
- Expand and evolve Cloud environments to accommodate changing business needs.
Automation & CI/CD:
- Develop and implement automated CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient and consistent software deployments via a well-structured delivery process.
- Automate routine tasks and improve existing automation frameworks to enhance system performance and reliability.
- Implement and maintain GitOps and Everything-as-Code practices to manage system configurations.
Collaboration & Support:
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure that the deployment of applications is automated, reliable and idempotent.
- Assist the development teams with designing and using the correct infrastructure patterns.
- Align with development teams to scope, size and plan activities.
- Provide support for software releases, including troubleshooting and resolving deployment issues.
Monitoring & Performance:
- Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure system health and performance.
- Perform capacity planning and performance tuning of infrastructure and applications.
- Participate in out of hours support rotas.
Security & Compliance:
- Implement security best practices and ensure that infrastructure and applications are compliant with relevant standards and regulations as advised the by Security team.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits, implement corrective actions as necessary.
Documentation & Training:
- Create and maintain documentation related to infrastructure, processes, and procedures.
- Evangelise and support to development and operations teams on DevOps best practices and tools.
Requirements:
- Good understanding of DevOps principles, practices and patterns in Cloud native projects.
- Knowledge of programming and Scripting languages such as Bash, Powershell, Python, Golang.
- Knowledge of IaC and configuration automation such as Terraform, CloudFormation and Ansible.
- Knowledge of monitoring best practices.
- Experience with workloads containerisation.
- Experience with serverless patterns.
- Excellent teamworking and communication skills.
- Proactive, can-do attitude.
