SES operate from two locations in the UK - Bristol and Stockton-on-Tees.

About the Role:

• Our services include Safety and Relief valve overhaul / refurbishment, testing and certification.
• One of our major services is the on-line (assisted lift) testing of safety valves in service this requires a working understanding of computers.
• SES also provide Isolation and control valve overhaul / refurbishment, testing and certification at our customers sites and at our works.
• Applicants will be required to work both within our WORKSHOPS, and ON-SITE at customers' site locations throughout the UK. (This may require overnight stays).
• Applicants will be required to work where-and-when the business requires with 24 hrs notice.
• Applicants may be required to work on offshore facilities i.e. oil and gas producing platforms.
• Applicants may be required to work outside the UK, this may include short term and long-term projects.
• SES provide a range of PSV (pressure safety valve) and non-PSV engineering services.  Applicants may be required to carry out other tasks by [Employer hidden] Services or by Seetru Ltd that the jobholder has competency for.

Required:

• Applicants must have a current, valid driving licence and be legally permitted to work in the United Kingdom (necessary checks will be carried out).
• The role requires that you work on-site at customer site locations.  This will include overnight stays. *Please do not apply for this role if you are unwilling to travel or stay away from home.
• Please note this can be a physically demanding role - for example many Power Stations do not have lifts etc.

Desirable:

• Control / Isolation Valve knowledge would be an advantage but is not essential.

Salary & Benefits:

• Basic Salary - £TBD - Dependent on qualifications/experience etc.
• This hourly rate will be payable while working in either of our workshops or at our customers sites within the UK or Europe.
• Offshore working or working outside Europe will be at further enhanced rates.
• Out of workshop allowance (payable for visits/trips over 5 hrs. To be agreed a further allowance for extended working days).
• Overnight stay allowance.
• Meal and overnight stay allowance will be paid for working away from the workshops (conditions apply).
• A mobile phone allowance will be included.
• While working away from home Seetru Ltd will provide accommodation (Travel Lodge / Premier inn type standard) and breakfast in addition to the above allowances.

Notes / More Information:

Required training will be given to enable you to complete any role or task you will be required to provide.

Any extra training that the individual identifies that will be beneficial to both the individual and the company will be considered.

PPE (personnel protective equipment) will be provided this is to be worn correctly and to be always maintained in good condition.

You will adhere to all safety related requests made of you without exception.

As a provider of services to major customers you will be the “face” of SES and therefore good personnel appearance is a major factor and requirement of this position.

As this role and business develops it is understood that the position will be kept under review and will be adjusted accordingly.

SES provides services to “Licensed Nuclear Establishments” and Controlled Military sites” as such all employees may be required to undergo official security vetting it is imperative that any issues that would prevent a clear vetting are notified immediately.

It is a condition of our client’s contracts that “Random drug and or alcohol testing” will be required and that in the future Seetru Ltd may introduce such testing as deemed necessary. Any objections to this testing must be indicated before accepting this role.

Health and Safety is of the very highest importance in Seetru’s activities, full training will be given but it is vital to this role that everything an employee does is considered against the hazards and risks to themselves, others, property, and the environment.

As a Safety Valve Technician formal training will of course be required, this may take the form of external such as at college, training provider or in-house at Seetru, but will normally be some combination of both. It is a prime condition that employee agrees and completes this training to the best of his/her ability as deemed necessary to achieve competence in the required discipline/s.
