JOB POSITIONS: Civil Contract Engineer
LOCATION: Bristol.
The Contract Engineer will coordinate the civil activities for the New Buildings and support the management of multiple civil engineering design contracts for the Sizewell C project. They will be ultimately responsible to provide the technical specifications and to ensure that they are in line with the contract holder.
The Contract Engineer will report to the SZC Civil Team lead.
Other interfaces will be with other civil engineers, programme and cost control teams. The Civil Contract Engineer will work with their associated contract holder, but also with the Responsible Designer’s Project Management Office (PMO), procurement department and potentially legal teams.
We are looking for
QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in civil engineering.
- Working experience on civil design engineering.
- Experience in the nuclear sector would be advantageous.
ESSENTIAL:
- Knowledge and understanding of the Euro codes & standards for Civil Engineering
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant Health and Safety regulations.
- Technical coordination.
- Stakeholder management.
- Sharp, dynamic and proactive junior engineer profile –> Up to 5 Years of Experience.
- Right to work in the UK.
TECHNICAL RESPONSABILITIES:
- Technical support with building specific civil related topics requiring a good level of expertise in Design. This may imply production of specific deliverables, participation to meetings, review of documents produced by others (internal or external stakeholders)
- Leading technical specifications reviews and surveillance
- Contribute and participate to lessons learnt process linked to their field of responsibilities.
