AX is seeking a skilled Power Platform Developer to design, develop, and implement Power Apps and automated workflows using Power Automate to improve enterprise automation and drive process efficiencies. The role involves integrating with data sources, testing, and documenting the solutions, with a focus on financial processes and billing.

About the role

AX’s technology enables all of AX’s Customer & Claims Management, Financial Management and Fleet Management operations. All of AX’s technology is based within Microsoft Azure and after consolidating finance and HR systems on the Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O ERP system, AX wishes to automate using the Microsoft Power Platform.

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Power Platform Developer with expertise in developing custom applications and workflows using Power Apps and Power Automate (RPA/Flows). The primary focus of this role is to design, develop, and implement a series of Power Apps to improve enterprise automation and drive process efficiencies.

The ideal candidate should be well-versed in creating solutions that involve complex calculations and business rules.

What you’ll be doing

  • Custom Power Apps Development
  • Design, develop, and deploy Power Apps engineered to reduce or eliminate manual processing.
  • Create user-friendly interfaces for monitoring automated processes and, where required, provide functions for processes that cannot automated.
  • Power Automate (Flows) Implementation
  • Develop automated workflows using Power Automate to streamline and optimize enterprise processes.
  • Implement flows that automate data validation, calculations, and approval processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Complex Calculations
  • Implement intricate calculations and business rules within Power Apps to support claims and billing processes.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand complex claims, finance and billing requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Billing Engine
  • Continue the development of AX’s Billing Engine that serves to calculate invoices for AX’s high growth business unit.
  • Collaborate with internal Dynamic 365 F&O specialist to Integrate the billing engine with D365.
  • Integration with Data Sources
  • Integrate Power Apps with relevant data sources, Microsoft Dataverse, Managed Instance SQL and Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, ensuring seamless data flow.
  • Collaborate with IT and data teams to establish connections with necessary databases and systems.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance
  • Conduct thorough testing of Power Apps and Flows to identify and resolve any issues.
  • Ensure the reliability and accuracy of the billing system through rigorous quality assurance processes.
  • Documentation
  • Create comprehensive documentation for Power Apps and Flows, including technical specifications, user guides, and best practices.
  • Provide training and support to end-users and stakeholders as needed.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Power Apps Developer or Consultant with a focus on automation particularly with financial processes e.g. billing
  • Strong proficiency in Power Apps and Power Automate, with a deep understanding of their capabilities and limitations.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement complex calculations and business rules within Power Apps.
  • Experience integrating Power Apps with various data sources and systems including Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
