FULL DESCRIPTION

Site Engineer / Quality Inspector

Location: Aberdeenshire (with travel across Scotland & the UK)

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

The Role

This is a hands-on, site-based position combining quality inspection with engineering support. You will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications, and industry standards, while supporting site teams to maintain high levels of quality and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out site inspections to monitor the quality of concrete and civil engineering works
  • Undertake ad hoc setting out and dimensional checks as required
  • Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and contractual requirements
  • Identify defects or non-conformances and support corrective actions
  • Liaise closely with site teams to maintain consistent quality and engineering standards
  • Maintain accurate inspection records, reports, and photographic evidence

About You

Previous experience as a Site Engineer, Quality Inspector, Clerk of Works, or similar role

Strong background in concrete works and civil engineering (essential)

Setting out with excellent drawing interpretation skills

Willingness to travel across Scotland and the UK

Detail-oriented, organised, and comfortable working independently on site
