[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] Group is holding a Support Worker open day at our site in Swindon on the 1st & 2nd April from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm We are looking for Children's Support Workers at our service, Pear Tree House in Swindon Location: Pear Tree House, 623 Cricklade Road, Swindon, SN2 5AB Date:1st & 2nd April 2026 Time: 10am - 3 pm Contact number: [contact hidden] Pear Tree House is a specialist service for children and young people with a diagnosed Learning Disability and may also have complex behavioural needs. We offer intensive levels of support and care to help the young people we care for develop social and life skills. What you'll be doing:

The post holder has a responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people at all times. Build relationships with children and young people Establish methods of communication with children and young people, reducing barriers when necessary Assist children and young people with mealtimes where necessary Support with activities of daily living and personal care when needed Communicate any issues to the on-shift team leader or management Accurately report and/or record work activities

What you will have:

A genuine interest in providing the best person-centred care possible for our young people NVQ 3 or equivalent in Childcare, or be willing to work towards this Previous experience of working within a children's home or within the child care sector, Autism/ LD is desirable Should have lived in the UK for 3 years The ability to communicate effectively at all levels We also want to ensure that individuals with disabilities are provided reasonable facilities to participate in job applications or interviews to perform essential job functions.
