FULL DESCRIPTION

To coordinate and support the safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of maintenance services for hired equipment. This role ensures all maintenance work is planned, raised, and completed in line with company standards and customer expectations. Acting as the main point of contact for customers, you’ll manage enquiries, track progress, and communicate updates while maintaining accurate records and documentation. You’ll also support Health, Safety and Environmental compliance, ensuring all activities meet company policies and legal requirements. Working closely with Technicians, Logistics, and other departments, you’ll help ensure jobs are completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

Salary: £28,000
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours.

PURPOSE

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Health, Safety & Environment

  • Take responsibility for all health, safety and environmental matters within your area.
  • Carry out safety walks, observations and incident reporting to reduce risk to colleagues, visitors and customers.
  • Promote our *Five Basic Behaviours* and *Life Saving Rules*, encouraging positive safety culture every day.

Customer Service

  • Be the main point of contact for customers during their hire contracts.
  • Respond quickly and professionally to enquiries, maintenance requests and issues.
  • Keep customers updated on progress and ensure every interaction delivers great service.
  • Work closely with other teams to make sure customer needs are met on time.

People & Team Support

  • Support team development through coaching, feedback and clear communication.
  • Help monitor performance and raise any concerns with the relevant manager.
  • Keep training records up to date and ensure everyone knows what’s expected of them.

Operations Support

  • Raise and plan maintenance jobs accurately and on time.
  • Prioritise work efficiently to meet SLAs and safety standards.
  • Liaise with Technicians and Logistics to ensure timely site attendance.
  • Check that all Technician and equipment certifications are valid and up to date.
  • Make sure working hours and schedules support safe operations.

Administration

  • Raise purchase orders for Technicians and third parties.
  • Save and manage all required documents in line with company policy.
  • Complete month-end reconciliation accurately.
  • Resolve customer invoice and supplier queries quickly and professionally.

  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Effective time management, managing multiple tasks and prioritising.
  • Ability to evaluate situations, identify problems, and find effective solutions.
  • Attention to detail: accurately recording information and understanding customer needs.
  • People management, leading objective setting, maintaining training records and fostering a positive work culture.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
