Senior Property Surveyor
[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] is looking for a Senior Surveyor to deliver high-quality survey work across a wide range of property and built environment projects. The role involves planning and delivering survey work, hands-on site work, technical oversight, and supporting the development of others.
More about the opportunity:
As a Senior Surveyor, you will be trusted to plan and deliver survey work across all stages of the “RIBA Plan of Work”. You will combine hands-on site work with technical oversight, quality assurance and coordination with project teams.

What does your day-to-day look like?
- Delivering complex survey projects from planning through to final issue
- Selecting appropriate survey methodologies and equipment to suit each site
- Carrying out and overseeing site surveys including laser scanning, GNSS and control networks
- Processing, analysing and validating survey data to produce accurate CAD drawings, point clouds and reports
- Reviewing and signing off survey deliverables before issue to the wider delivery team
- Identifying site constraints, risks and access issues, and proposing practical survey solutions
- Working closely with Project Managers and Lead Surveyors to clarify briefs and manage expectations
- Supporting project planning, programming and resource allocation
- Providing guidance and mentoring to Surveyors and Junior Surveyors
- Contributing to the development of survey standards, workflows and best practice

What you bring to the party:

What we are looking for:
- Solid experience in measured building, topographical and laser scanning surveys
- Confidence working independently on site and taking ownership of survey delivery
- Strong technical capability using modern survey equipment and processing software
- A structured, organised approach when working under time pressure
- Good communication skills with clients, project teams and colleagues
- An interest in developing others and sharing technical knowledge
- A proactive mindset and interest in new technology and improved ways of working
- Flexibility around travel and working hours
- A full UK driving licence and the right to work in the UK
- Experience with mobile mapping systems or advanced processing software is useful, but not essential. What matters most is your attitude, technical foundation and readiness to take the next step.
