As a Trainee Export Sales Estimator you will be involved in the preparation of technical quotations using web-based costing systems, spreadsheet data recording and comparison, telephone calling clients for project updates, CRM system input and updating, and administrative support.

As a Trainee Export Sales Estimator you will be involved in the preparation of technical quotations using web-based costing systems, spreadsheet data recording and comparison, telephone calling clients for project updates, CRM system input and updating, and administrative support.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • - Operate a safe working environment in line with company policies & procedures.
  • - Administrative duties for the Export Sales Department (document control, literature management, exhibition planning, updating and managing sales records)
  • - Processing sales related documentation.
  • - Estimating export sales enquirers and preparing quotations.
  • - Being able to answer client queries regarding their enquiries/orders.
  • - Dealing with any information passed on by the sales team.

- Mature and customer focused attitude (able to handle difficult discussions and customer complaints) is essential.

- A belief in the fact that customers are revenue & everything else is overhead is essential.

Experience:

  Working with multiple departments

  Achieving deadlines

  Technical sales experience (Desirable)

  Dealing with multiple issues at any given moment

  Ability to communicate clearly by telephone

  Working within a technical environment with an engineered product

Skills & Abilities

- Strong organisational and decision-making skills is essential.

- Ability to read and understand technical drawings. (Desirable)

- Excellent inter-personal skills.

- First class planning & organisational skills.

- Good presentation, written and oral communication skills.

- Must be an innovative thinker and commercially aware

- Must be willing to develop interpersonal and communication skills

- Must be computer literate particularly in Microsoft Excel and Word and Engineering software packages for which further training will be provided.
