FULL DESCRIPTION
Controls and Automation Engineer (ICA)
This role is suitable for both experienced ICA engineers and those with a solid industry foundation who are looking to further develop their technical and practical skills within a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Design team in the delivery of automation and control projects on customer sites and within company workshops.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot a wide range of instrumentation across multiple sectors, including Utilities & manufacturing.
- Perform software fault finding, system modifications, and functional enhancements.
- Commission, test, and maintain PLC-based control systems, switchgear, and associated electrical and automation equipment
- Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and project teams to ensure successful project delivery
Skills & Experience
- Sound knowledge of control panels, with the ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
- Hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools in industrial environments
- Familiarity with automation platforms including PLC, SCADA, and DCS systems
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to fault diagnosis
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team
