National Account Manager – [Employer hidden] Group

We are now looking for a National Account Manager to join our Sales team and help drive commercial growth across a key customer portfolio.

The Role

As a National Account Manager, you will take full ownership of your customer strategy, delivering sales and margin targets while strengthening relationships across Buying, Category, Supply Chain, Commercial and Marketing functions. You will build and manage accurate volume and value forecasts, lead joint business planning, drive core range distribution and use category and shopper insight to support growth. The role also involves managing customer investment, modelling long-term plans, analysing ROI and using EPOS data to identify opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver supplier objectives through effective joint business plans.
  • Develop strong customer understanding across KPIs, formats, strategy and the competitive landscape.
  • Own and implement the customer strategy.
  • Lead collaborative forecasting for volume and value.
  • Build commercial models and long-term customer plans, analysing investment and return.
  • Manage customer investment, invoices, claims, rebates and accruals.
  • Influence range, space and distribution.
  • Track and interpret EPOS data to support decision making.
  • Monitor competitor activity and provide insight.
  • Prepare clear reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure all activities relating to medicines or medical devices meet GDP requirements.

About You

You will bring strong commercial awareness, confidence working with forecasts and financial models, and the ability to influence at all levels. You should have excellent communication and negotiation skills, solid analytical ability and experience building customer plans. You will be proactive, results focused and comfortable working in a fast-paced commercial environment. A good standard of GCSE Maths and English is required.
