Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and creative Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food and have a strong background in culinary arts, team management, and kitchen operations.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of food preparation and production in the kitchen
• Manage and lead kitchen staff, providing training and guidance - Ensure food safety protocols are strictly followed and paperwork is completetd.
• Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed
• Conduct and analyse a monthly stock check
• Supervise kitchen operations to deliver high-quality dining experiences
• Ensure wage costs and food costs are in line with expectations
• Put into place cost-saving initiatives.
• Keep wastage to a minimal

Job Requirements

• Proven experience working in a culinary role, preferably in a supervisory capacity
• Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team
• Proficiency in menu planning, recipe development, and cost control
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts or related field is a plus
