Job Description

The Role:

  • Support the Lead: Act as the right hand to the Head Chef, helping lead a young, motivated team.
  • Operations: Assist with daily ordering and stock control.
  • Management: Mentor & train junior chefs.
  • Compliance: Help the team with meeting all health, safety, and food hygiene standards.

What You Need:

  • Experience: Previous experience as a Sous Chef or a strong Junior Sous ready to level up.
  • Leadership: A natural ability to train staff and keep a good atmosphere during service.

Job Requirements

Experience

  • Track Record: At least 1–2 years in a Sous Chef or Senior Junior Sous role.
  • Operational Ownership: Proven ability to manage daily ordering, stock rotation, and wastage control to keep margins healthy.
  • Compliance Champion: Solid knowledge of UK Food Safety and Health & Safety regulations (Level 2 or 3 Food Hygiene is a must).
